Welcome to the home page of the Dartmouth Forensic Union. Under the aegis of the Dean of the College, the Dartmouth Forensic Union carries a full program of competitive intercollegiate debate.
Dartmouth debate has a long history of competitive success. Dartmouth has won the National Debate Tournament six times. The College also has had four second place NDT teams and eleven semi-finalist teams. Dartmouth teams have received the Copeland Award three times, and three Dartmouth debaters have been top speaker at the NDT.
Dartmouth offers a number of summer programs for high school debaters and coaches: the Dartmouth Debate Workshop for sophomores and juniors, the Senior Assistants, the Dartmouth Debate Institute, and the Dartmouth Coaches Workshop.
