The Dartmouth Forensic Union offers the following summer debate programs:
Dartmouth Debate Workshop (for Sophomores and Juniors) - June 24 - July 15, 2009 - Apply
The Workshop is specially designed to serve the needs of younger debaters who will be sophomores or juniors in the Fall of 2009. The program offers a balance of theory, strategy, and skills, along with a considerable amount of research.
Senior Assistants - June 24 - July 15, 2009 - Apply
Senior Assistants is a program for students who will be high school seniors in the Fall of 2009. It runs concurrent with our Debate Workshop. This is a special opportunity for an intensive, early summer's beginning to debate preparation. The program offers the chance to work on debate with other outstanding Seniors and the younger debaters selected for the program.
Dartmouth Debate Institute - July 19 - August 16, 2009 - Apply
The Dartmouth Debate Institute has long been considered to be the most outstanding summer program for experienced, varsity debaters. Winners of most national tournaments including seventeen of the last twenty-one Tournament of Champions and NFL Nationals have attended DDI. The program provides for individualized curriculum and intensive preparation.
Dartmouth Coaches Workshop - July 19 - August 9, 2009 - Apply
The Coaches Workshop runs in conjunction with the Dartmouth Debate Institute. Participants sit in on Institute classes, as well as have separate meeting with members of the Institute staff. The program is under the direction of NFL Executive Council member, Glenda Ferguson. Participants can attend any or all of the three week sessions.
